New Tecumseth and Adjala-Tosorontio Market Update: September 2026
The September 2026 TRREB Market Watch is out, and it is the latest published month. October figures have not been published yet. Here is where prices and sales stand in New Tecumseth and Adjala-Tosorontio.
A note on the comparison: the "year ago" point in this Market Watch is October 2025, so the change below covers October 2025 to September 2026, an 11-month interval, not a full 12-month year-over-year comparison.
New Tecumseth
Detached homes in New Tecumseth averaged $853,341 in September 2026, down 0.1% from $854,401 in October 2025. The median detached price was $810,000, unchanged. In plain terms, detached prices were essentially flat over the 11-month interval.
There were 39 detached sales in September, with 178 detached homes listed for sale. Detached sellers received 95% of their asking price on average, and homes took an average of 44 days to sell.
Across all home types, the average price was $807,218, up 4.4% over the same 11-month interval, and the median was $767,500, up 3.7%. There were 54 sales of all types in September.
Adjala-Tosorontio
Detached homes in Adjala-Tosorontio averaged $928,938 in September 2026, down 29.7% from $1,322,056 in October 2025. The median was $912,000, down 5.0% from $960,000.
Read the Adjala average with caution. Only 8 homes sold in September 2026, compared with 9 in October 2025. With so few sales, one high-priced sale moves the average a lot. The median, down 5.0%, is the steadier read on prices there. There were 103 active listings in September, sellers received 97% of asking price on average, and homes took an average of 36 days to sell.
What it means locally
In New Tecumseth, the market is steady rather than falling. Detached prices are flat, sellers are still getting about 95% of list, and buyers have a reasonable amount of choice, with 178 detached homes on the market. In Adjala-Tosorontio, the small number of sales makes the average unreliable, and the median points to a modest softening rather than a sharp drop.
